Gold Futures Snap 3-day Losses To End Higher, Tracking COMEX Gains

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 8 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives snapped three-day losses to end higher on Thursday, tracking gains on the US Commodity Exchange (COMEX).

At the close, the October 2026 contract rose to US$4,133.50 per troy ounce from US$4,131.10 yesterday, while the November 2026 contract went up to US$4,150.10 per troy ounce from US$4,147.40.

The December 2026 contract climbed to US$4,166.60 per troy ounce from US$4,164.30 on Wednesday, while the January 2027, February 2027 and April 2027 contracts inched up to US$4,166.60 from US$4,164.30 previously.

Trading volume slid to 77 lots from 97 on Wednesday, while open interest decreased to 153 contracts from 162 previously.

Physical gold was fixed at US$4,095.40 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association's afternoon fix on Oct 7.
