By Iskandar Shah Mohamed

KLANG, Oct 8 (Bernama) -- GM Klang is strengthening its business ecosystem with the opening of Porcelain Inn Sdn Bhd (PISB), Klang Valley's largest outlet specialising in wedding supplies and home decor.

Occupying over 20,000 square feet on the 5th floor of wholesale shopping centre GM Klang, the new outlet has more than 38,000 product offerings.

GM Klang Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Lim Seng Kok said the opening of PISB’s 17th branch demonstrates its position as a leading local brand, particularly in the wedding supplies and giftware sectors.

GM Klang, as a wholesale destination, is continuously reinforcing its business-to-business (B2B) core while expanding its business-to-business-to-consumer (B2B2C) approach, he said.

“Beyond wholesale and retail activities, the opening of this PISB outlet underscores our commitment to continuously supporting the growth of diverse businesses.

“We aim to strengthen GM Klang’s role — moving beyond being just a trading hub to actively helping businesses build their brands, expand, and reach wider markets,” Lim said after the opening ceremony of the PISB branch.

PISB managing director Goh Tian Soo and Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) chief operating officer Jwan Heah also attended the event.

Earlier, MBOR recognised PISB as the supplier of the largest Malay wedding products. MBOR said this is a proud achievement for the GM Klang ecosystem, recognized as Malaysia's largest wholesale centre.

Lim said the branch could potentially attract more visitors and invigorate the existing business sector.

“This signifies PISB’s strong confidence in us as a platform for all traders, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises. GM Klang welcomes new traders interested in joining us,” he said.

Meanwhile, PISB general manager Goh Shu Xin said the opening coincides with the company's 35th anniversary, having been based in Ayer Hitam, Johor, since 1991.

“With 17 branches across Peninsular Malaysia — from Johor to Kelantan — we have a design team that creates products tailored to local tastes and wedding themes.

"Our product range — offered in packages and with volume-based pricing — includes wedding supplies, guest souvenirs, 'bunga telur' (traditional egg souvenirs), gift packaging, artificial flowers, vases and artificial decorative plants,” she said.

She said PISB aims to be the preferred brand for Malay wedding products and plans to reach customers through physical stores and digital platforms.
