HE Group Unit Secures RM124 Mln Johor Data Centre Subcontract

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 24 (Bernama) -- He Group Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary, Hexatech Engineering Sdn Bhd has secured a subcontract worth RM124 million to supply, install, test and commission the main electrical works for a data centre in Johor.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the mechanical and electrical engineering company said the subcontract was awarded by an engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) company on Sept 23, 2026. 

The EPCM company is a Malaysia-incorporated private limited company specialising in construction, civil engineering and offshore oil and gas activities. 

The subcontract commenced upon acceptance and is scheduled for completion on March 27, 2028.

The group said the subcontract is expected to contribute positively to its future earnings, barring unforeseen circumstances, with no material impact on its share capital or the shareholdings of substantial shareholders.

It added that the subcontract is in the ordinary course of business and does not require shareholders’ approval.
