Oil & Gas Asia 2026 To Attract Over 30,000 Attendees, 2,000 Participating Companies

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 2 (Bernama) -- Oil & Gas Asia (OGA) 2026 will take place from Sept 2-4, 2026, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, and it is expected to attract more than 30,000 trade attendees and feature over 2,000 participating brands and companies.

The event, organised by Informa Markets Malaysia, also brings together more than 40 industry speakers and eight international pavilions from Australia, China, Germany, India, Italy, Singapore, South Korea and the United Kingdom.

Informa Markets Malaysia chairman Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Mamat said this year’s edition saw 35 per cent of exhibitors as new to OGA, bringing a wider mix of companies and capabilities to this year’s edition.

“We are pleased to welcome a new international pavilion from Western Australia, further broadening the representation of energy companies and solution providers at OGA.

“At the same time, our collaboration with Timor-Leste opens another avenue for cooperation and strengthens our connections with an emerging energy market,” he said in his welcoming address at the OGA 2026 Opening Ceremony here today.

The ceremony was officiated by Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) president and group chief executive officer Tan Sri Tengku Muhammad Taufik, alongside Malaysia Petroleum Resources Corporation (MPRC) president and chief executive officer Mohd Yazid Jaafar.

Meanwhile, Abdul Rahman said one of OGA’s defining strengths is its ability to connect different parts of the energy ecosystem.

He said this year's connectivity is strengthened through collaboration with the Malaysian Oil & Gas Services Exhibition and Conference (MOGSEC) and EIC Connect OGA.

Of particular significance, he said, is EIC Connect OGA, which brings policymakers and industry leaders together with stakeholders across the region to explore practical pathways for the future of energy, investment opportunities and business prospects.

“Additionally, the SPEAK OGA knowledge platform will also further complement these conversations, bringing together industry voices to share perspectives, practical experience and insights on the challenges and opportunities ahead.

“Taken together, OGA, MOGSEC, EIC Connect are not separate conversations. They form one connected platform by bringing business, policy, technology, knowledge and industry capability into the same room,” he added.

Last year, the 21st edition of OGA attracted more than 33,000 attendees from 81 countries, and 2,000 participating brands and companies came together, generating US$42.17 million (US$1 = RM4.04) in reported potential business for exhibitors.
