Gamuda's Unit Clinches RM1.64 Bln Contracts For Solar, Battery Projects In Australia

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 13 (Bernama) -- Gamuda Bhd’s wholly owned Australian subsidiary DT Infrastructure Pty Ltd (DTI) has secured two engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts worth a combined RM1.64 billion for the delivery of solar and battery hybrid projects in Australia.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the company said that DT Infrastructure has entered into EPC contracts with Ganymirra Solar Power Station Pty Ltd and Majors Creek Solar Power Station Pty Ltd, each valued at RM822.3 million.

“DT Infrastructure will deliver EPC services for the Ganymirra and Majors Creek solar and battery hybrid projects, two adjacent solar farms being delivered as one project.

“The projects’ scope includes the design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning of the solar power farms, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and associated balance of plant infrastructure,” it said.

Gamuda said the two contracts will run for two years, commencing in the second half of 2026 and scheduled for completion in January 2029.

The projects are expected to contribute positively to the group's revenue and earnings for the financial year ending July 31, 2027, until their completion, it added.
