Jumio Expands Digital ID Support To More Than 60 Markets

KUALA LUMPUR, June 29 (Bernama) -- Jumio has expanded support for digital IDs across more than 60 countries and territories, enabling customers to accept digital IDs when onboarding new users while supporting regulatory compliance and improving customer conversion.

The company said the expanded coverage is powered by an integration with digital identity gateway Trinsic, allowing customers to verify digital credentials through a single platform without requiring additional vendor integrations.

Jumio chief of digital identity, Philipp Pointner said the company aims to help organisations keep pace with the rapidly evolving digital identity landscape.

"The credential landscape is shifting faster than most organisations can track. Our job is to make sure our customers are always ahead of the curve with each new government mandate, wallet format, or fraud vector," he said in a statement.

According to Jumio, the platform combines digital ID verification with biometric authentication, liveness detection, risk analysis and identity intelligence capabilities, supporting both digital and physical identity documents through a single integration.

The company said the expansion builds on its earlier support for digital identity programmes, including eIDAS-compliant electronic identities across nearly 20 European Union countries and Brazil's digital driver's licence, where it has processed more than one million digital identity verifications since early 2025.
