Profound Makes Singapore Its Asia Pacific HQ

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 2 (Bernama) -- Artificial intelligence (AI) marketing platform, Profound has set up its Asia Pacific (APAC) headquarters in Singapore, from where it will serve brands across Southeast Asia, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

The company will open its office in Singapore’s Central Business District in the fourth quarter of 2026, housing its regional leadership, go-to-market and customer teams. It plans to hire more than 15 people in Singapore over the next 12 months, including a general manager for APAC.

“Singapore is the natural home for our next chapter. It is where the region’s biggest brands make decisions, and it is a country that takes AI seriously at the highest level,” said Profound Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, James Cadwallader.

In a statement, he said brands across the region had approached the company even before it had any staff on the ground.

The move follows Profound’s US$180 million Series D funding round in September, co-led by Sequoia Capital and Kleiner Perkins. Members of its New York team will relocate to Singapore for a year to help build the regional team. (US$1 = RM4.05)

Singapore is the most active adopter of AI in APAC and second in the world, with 61 per cent of the population using AI tools, according to Stanford University’s 2026 AI Index.

Profound said its analysis of 1.8 million anonymised ChatGPT and Gemini conversations from users in Singapore found that the share involving researching, comparing or buying products and services grew 23 per cent between January and September.

The company’s platform helps brands track how they appear in answers generated by AI tools, identifying where they are gaining or losing ground and deploying AI agents to address gaps.

The announcement coincided with Profound’s Zero Click conference in Singapore on Oct 29 at the Raffles Hotel, the event’s first APAC edition after Zero Click Sydney on Oct 27.
