Petronas Gas Completes Transfer Of Gas Processing, Utilities Businesses

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 2 (Bernama) -- Petronas Gas Bhd (PGB) has completed the transfer of its gas processing and utilities businesses to two subsidiaries under the proposed internal reorganisation effective Nov 1, 2026.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, PGB said its gas processing business was transferred to PG Gas Processing Sdn Bhd while the utilities business was transferred to PG Utilities East Sdn Bhd following the fulfilment of the conditions precedent under the respective business transfer agreements (BTAs).

“In this regard, certain conditions precedent relating to the receipt of approvals from the relevant authorities and the issuance of new licences and approvals have been waived in accordance with the respective BTAs,” it added.

PGB noted that PG Gas Processing and PG Utilities East commenced their respective operations with effect from Nov 1. 

“The transfer and/or vesting of the gas transportation business to PG TransCo Sdn Bhd pursuant to the proposed internal reorganisation will take place at a later date, subject to the fulfilment of the conditions precedent under the relevant BTA,” it added
