Eco-Shop Posts Higher 1Q FY2027 Net Profit Of RM63.19 Mln, Declares 0.61 Sen Dividend

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 27 (Bernama) -- Eco-Shop Marketing Bhd’s net profit for the first quarter of financial year 2027 ended Aug 31, 2026 (1Q FY2027) rose by 7.6 per cent to RM63.19 million from RM58.75 million posted in 1Q FY2026.

Revenue also jumped by 16 per cent to RM793.67 million from RM684.33 million in the previous corresponding quarter.

The better results were driven by continued expansion of the group’s store network, with the addition of 15 net new stores during the quarter, Eco-Shop said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

The company declared a single-tier interim dividend of 0.61 sen per ordinary share, amounting to approximately RM35.1 million, to be paid on Nov 27, 2026.

Chief executive officer Jessica Ng said the group continued to expand its store network, while same-store sales growth returned to positive territory, during 1Q FY2027.

“Alongside the continued expansion of its store network, Eco-Shop remains focused on enhancing the performance of existing stores.

“The store refresh programme supports this, together with the increasing adoption of data analytics to better understand Eco-Shop’s members and engage with them more effectively through a new customer relationship management programme to be launched in the current financial year,” she said.

Ng said that after opening 100 new stores in the previous financial year, Eco-Shop is targeting another 100 new store openings in FY2027.

“As the group continues to grow amid a backdrop of evolving operating costs, the focus remains on pursuing growth efficiently while maintaining a disciplined approach to cost management.

“Direct sourcing capabilities, economies of scale and financial discipline remain the cornerstones of  Eco-Shop’s strategy to pursue sustainable and profitable growth while preserving the value proposition,” she added.
