Abu Dhabi To License AI-Powered Government Platform Worldwide

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 19 (Bernama) -- Abu Dhabi has launched TAMM Global, a private technology company that will license the technology behind TAMM, the emirate’s artificial intelligence (AI)-powered government services platform, to governments worldwide.

It is the first time the platform, which serves 4.7 million users, will be available for international licensing, a move Abu Dhabi said in a statement was part of its ambition to become the world’s first AI-native government.

TAMM, which Abu Dhabi said was launched in 2005, offers more than 1,200 public and private sector services and saves each user about nine visits to government service centres a year.

Its customer satisfaction score has risen to 94.5 per cent from 78 per cent in 2022, before AI was integrated into the app, while the cost of providing services has fallen by 30 per cent.

Users can set up a business entirely through the app, including opening a business bank account, as well as manage investment portfolios, renew identity documents, register vehicles and access daily government services.

TAMM AutoGov, which Abu Dhabi announced in 2025 and describes as the world’s first AI public servant, can renew licences, settle payments and book routine healthcare appointments without users having to start the process.

As an independent private company, TAMM Global will be able to partner directly with governments, organisations and institutions worldwide, offering TAMM’s technology, operating model and pre-built services, which can be adapted to local languages, laws and regulations while governments keep full control over their data and infrastructure.

TAMM was named the world’s best e-government initiative at the United Nations-backed World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Prizes in 2025 and in 2026 won the Government category for Europe, the Middle East and Asia in the Gartner Eye on Innovation Awards.
