99 Speed Mart Retail Share Price Rises At Midday On Higher Sara, STR Expectations

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 9 (Bernama) -- 99 Speed Mart Retail Holdings Bhd’s share price rose on expectations that higher allocations for Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) and Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) under Budget 2027 could boost consumer spending at value retailers.

At lunch break, 99 Speed Mart Retail share price added 15 sen to RM3.27, with 4.82 million shares traded.

Malacca Securities Sdn Bhd said Budget 2027 takes centre stage today, with investors monitoring measures to support strategic industries and household spending.

“99 Speed Mart Retail could benefit from higher Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) and Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) allocations under Budget 2027, potentially boosting spending at value retailers,” it said in a note today.

Hong Leong Investment Bank Bhd said Budget 2027 is widely expected to be rakyat-friendly.

“Consistent with historical precedents, we project total cash assistance under the Rahmah schemes to rise to RM17billion - RM18 billion (2026: RM15 billion), potentially including another RM100 SARA disbursement.

“Given 99 Speed Mart Retail’s exposure to SARA and mass-market customer base, higher Rahmah allocations could directly support top-line growth and profitability,” it said.

HLIB reiterates a ‘buy’ call with a target price of RM4.24 per share.

“We favour 99 Speed Mart Retail for its dominant market presence, unmatched store density, and competitive pricing, which underpin resilient revenue execution,” it added.
