Bursa Malaysia Stays Higher At Midday Tracking Regional Peers

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 5 -- Bursa Malaysia remained higher at midday in tandem with positive momentum across regional markets.

At 12.30 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) rose by 1.84 points to 1,632.71 from last Friday’s close of 1,630.87.

The benchmark index opened 2.55 points higher at 1,633.42 and moved between 1,630.95 and 1,640.46 during the morning trading session.

However, on the broader market, losers outnumbered gainers 562 to 476, with 470 counters unchanged, 1,265 untraded and 24 suspended.

Turnover stood at 2.93 billion units worth RM1.39 billion.
