Malaysia Airlines Extends Airbus FHS Programme For A330ceo Fleet
SINGAPORE, Sept 23 (Bernama) -- Malaysia Airlines today inked an agreement to extend Airbus’ industry-leading Flight Hour Services (FHS) programme for its A330ceo fleet at the MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) Asia-Pacific event here.
Airbus said in a statement that the agreement solidified Airbus FHS as the primary maintenance support for Malaysia Airlines’ A330ceos since 2017 and the A330neos which began in 2024.
The long-term power-by-the-hour contract covers integrated component services, including on-site stock, pool access, repair services and component reliability engineering.
The airline will also benefit from Airbus’ engineering expertise and FHS regional representatives to support the daily maintenance activities
Malaysia Airlines chief operating officer Aida Salfaraz Ahmad Fadzil said the extension reflected the value that the Airbus FHS programme continues to bring to our operations.
"Since 2017, Airbus has supported the performance and reliability of our A330 fleet through its component services and technical expertise.
"As we continue to focus on operational efficiency and service excellence, this programme remains an important part of our support framework, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration with Airbus," she said.
According to Airbus, the FHS provides flexible, comprehensive maintenance solutions designed to empower airlines to maximise fleet performance while minimising total operational costs.
By harnessing Airbus’ global expertise, cutting-edge technologies and data-driven insights, the service ensures optimised efficiency and reliability for airline operations, it said.
