KLCI Futures Ends Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 10 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher on Thursday despite the softer underlying cash market.

The September 2026 contract rose 16 points to 1,691.5, October 2026 gained 10.5 points to 1,691.0, December 2026 and March 2027 contracts advanced nine points to 1,695.5 and 1,680.0, respectively.

Turnover rose to 6,818 lots from 6,414 on Wednesday, while open interest was at 44,404 contracts versus 44,138 previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI eased 8.82 points, or 0.51 per cent, to 1,705.52 from Wednesday’s close of 1,714.34.
