ClearOpx Joins Three Industry Bodies To Advance Commodity Risk Standards

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28 (Bernama) -- ClearOpx has joined three industry bodies — Energy LEAP, the Grain and Feed Trade Association (GAFTA), and the Committee of Chief Risk Officers (CCRO) — to help advance operational standards and risk management practices across commodity markets.

Through the memberships, ClearOpx will collaborate with energy companies, trade organisations, risk leaders and technology providers to develop and implement operational standards and key performance indicators (KPIs) covering bulk commodity operations, digital trade and risk management.

The company said standardised post-trade workflows and risk metrics are becoming increasingly important as trading environments grow more complex and data-driven.

“Joining Energy LEAP, GAFTA, and the CCRO allows us to work directly alongside industry leaders to establish actionable, high-impact operational standards,” said ClearOpx chief executive officer, Rick Nelson in a statement.

As a member of Energy LEAP, ClearOpx will participate in working groups and contribute operational and technical expertise to developing non-proprietary standards for data exchange and post-trade digitisation.

Within GAFTA, the company will provide operational and technical insights to support international agricultural trade and standardised contract performance across grain and feed supply chains.

Its membership in the CCRO will see ClearOpx work with risk executives on industry-wide standards for enterprise risk management, performance metrics and operational governance in energy and physical markets.

ClearOpx provides an operations trade risk management (OTRM) platform for commodity and energy trading operations, using agentic AI to automate workflows and operational tasks across the trade lifecycle.
