IHH Healthcare's 2Q Net Profit Surges 29 Pct To RM573 Mln

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 27 (Bernama) -- IHH Healthcare Bhd’s net profit rose to RM573 million in the second quarter ended June 30, 2026 (2Q FY2026) from RM443 million in the same period last year, representing a 29 per cent increase year-on-year (y-o-y).

Revenue for the quarter under review grew by 12 per cent to RM7.05 billion from RM6.30 billion previously, driven by stronger performance in the hospital and healthcare segment.

“The hospital and healthcare 2Q FY2026 revenue increased by seven per cent to RM6.57 billion, driven by a sustained demand for quality healthcare services, a more acute patient case mix and price adjustments to counter inflation.

“The consolidation of Bayindir Healthcare, TMI Healthcare and Biruni Labs, which were acquired after 2Q FY2025, also contributed to the increase in revenue,” it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

For the first half of 2026 (1H FY2026), the group’s net profit increased to RM1.10 billion from RM957 million in the same period a year ago, while revenue rose eight per cent to RM13.60 billion from RM12.59 billion previously, contributed by stronger hospital and healthcare performance.

The group also declared an interim single-tier cash dividend of 5.5 sen per ordinary share for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026 to be paid on Oct 30, 2026.
