Kiddocare's On-Demand Babysitting Service Builds Trust With Over 100,000 Families

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 24 (Bernama) -- Flexible babysitting whenever parents need it is the most valuable service Kiddocare Sdn Bhd offers, giving parents greater convenience and one less thing to worry about.
From carving out time for self-care to after-school care, school holidays, weddings, concerts and other events, Kiddocare's babysitting service is designed to step in whenever parents need an extra pair of hands.
Kiddocare Sdn Bhd founder and chief executive officer Nadira Yusoff said this flexibility has been central to the company's growth since it launched in 2019, with more than 30,000 registered caregivers now serving families nationwide through Malaysia's first on-demand babysitting platform.
To date, Kiddocare has served more than 100,000 families across the country, with the highest demand coming from Kuala Lumpur, Johor and Kelantan. Its current services include babysitting, pop-up nanny, and Care Hub - a platform that helps families search for verified care centres across Malaysia.
For this year, the company is focusing on helping families access a wider range of services for their children as their needs evolve, including confinement services to support mothers who are expecting another child.
Fundraising helps company’s plan
Nadira said the app and technology built with Khazanah Nasional Bhd’s Dana Impak has helped Kiddocare grow its core childcare business, laying the foundation for the company's next phase of growth.
Khazanah's support for Kiddocare through Dana Impak began at the company's early stage of growth, including its Pre-Series A round in 2023 through the Gobi Dana Impak Ventures (GDIV) fund. The round, which also included Singapore-based venture capital firm MSW Ventures, raised around RM4.5 million.
She said Dana Impak recognised technology as a crucial part of Kiddocare's growth and a critical enabler of safe childcare services, having helped the company develop its core technology platform in 2024.
"That investment paved the way not just for us to develop technology for parents and carers, but now we are evolving the technology to also support other industry players, childcare centres and confinement centres," she told Bernama.
From babysitting to elderly care
Building on this momentum, Kiddocare is now eyeing an expansion into eldercare services, having already conducted a pilot programme in this area.
"We started our childcare service in 2019, and since then our customers have built trust with us. Many of the parents who joined us seven years ago now have grown-up children, and they find themselves in the sandwich generation — caring for both their children and their ageing parents.
"Because they already trust Kiddocare's caregivers, they have started asking if we offer eldercare services too. So the beauty of this business is we enable services that support parents and families’ evolving needs," she said.
Nadira noted that many of the company's caregivers have also been with Kiddocare for seven years and are ready to grow with the company as it enters this new area.
