Ascend Airways Malaysia Obtains CAAM Approval For Passenger Operations
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 20 (Bernama) -- Ascend Airways Malaysia Sdn Bhd has secured approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) to include passenger operations in its Air Operator Certificate (AOC).
The approval follows the successful completion of the AOC variation process, said the airline in a Facebook post today.
The approval includes its first passenger aircraft, the Boeing 737-800 (9M-ASG), in its Operations Specifications, marking a significant step forward towards commencing passenger operations.
A total of three passenger aircraft (B737-800) are expected to be operating under aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance (ACMI) arrangements by the end of 2026.
According to Ascend Airways, this achievement reflects the dedication, discipline and collaboration of the entire team, alongside the close coordination and guidance of CAAM throughout the AOC variation process.
