Kelington Units Bags Additional RM133 Mln Contract For Data Storage Facility

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 5 (Bernama) -- Kelington Group Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, Kelington Technologies Sdn Bhd, has secured an additional contract worth about RM133 million from a Sarawak-based manufacturing company for major structural steel works as part of an advanced data storage manufacturing facility project.

The latest contract follows an earlier RM172 million contract awarded by the same company on Sept 29, 2026, to undertake engineering works and early-stage infrastructure development for the facility.

“The new contract is expected to commence immediately and slated for completion by April 2028,” Kelington Group said in a Bursa Malaysia filing.

The company stated that as announced in the first contract, the aggregate value of contracts and purchase orders secured by its subsidiary for the project amounted to about RM283 million.

With the new contract, the aggregate value of awards secured by Kelington Technologies now stands at approximately RM416 million.

The new project is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the Kelington group for the financial years ending Dec 31, 2026 and beyond until the completion of the project.

At the same time, Kelington Technologies expects to continue securing more contracts from the customer covering various scopes of work in relation to the project in Kuching, Sarawak.
