Gas Malaysia Second Quarter Net Profit Falls To RM72.52 Mln

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 19 (Bernama) – Gas Malaysia Bhd’s net profit for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026 (2Q 2026) fell to RM72.52 million from RM99.12 million in the corresponding quarter last year.

Its revenue for the quarter declined to RM1.58 billion from RM1.80 billion previously, representing a decrease of 12.1 per cent. This was mainly due to a lower average natural gas selling price, but mitigated by a higher volume of natural gas sold.

The company’s net profit for the six months slid to RM165.36 million from RM199.25 million, while revenue declined to RM3.17 billion from RM3.64 billion.

“While these initiatives may entail additional near-term investments and expenditure, the group remains committed to prudent financial management and operational resilience,” it said in a stock exchange filing.
