Univar Solutions Acquires Interpur Chemicals To Expand EMEA Reach

KUALA LUMPUR, July 28 (Bernama) -- Univar Solutions LLC (Univar Solutions) has acquired Interpur Chemicals, a distributor of polyurethanes and powder coatings in Europe, expanding its Performance Materials business and regional capabilities across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

According to Univar Solutions in a statement, the acquisition enhances its technical capabilities and strengthens its ability to support customers through improved access to materials, supply continuity and formulation expertise.

“This acquisition marks an important milestone for our performance materials business as we respond to growing customer demand for the essential products that enable modern, high-performance applications.

“By expanding our solutions and reach into high-demand markets and applications, we are enhancing our ability to support customers where it matters most - at the formulation and application level,” said Univar Solutions senior vice president of Performance Materials, Matthew Oliver.

Meanwhile, Interpur Chemicals chief executive officer, Óscar García said the acquisition represented a meaningful next step for the coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers (CASE) industry, combining technical expertise, strong supplier relationships, and trusted customer engagement to accelerate speciality product capabilities.

Univar Solutions brings more than a century of experience in chemical and ingredient distribution, while Interpur Chemicals offers over 20 years of experience supplying chemical raw materials and technical consultancy for the polyurethane, resins, and powder coating industries.

Both companies share a commitment to transparency, service excellence, and social responsibility. Through the transaction, 18 Interpur Chemicals employees will join Univar Solutions to support continuity for customers, suppliers, and business partners.
