KLCI Futures Close Sharply Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, July 14 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed sharply higher on Tuesday.

The July 2026 contract gained 20 points to 1,725.50. The August 2026 contract rose 20.5 points to 1,727.0, September 2026 added 19.5 points to 1,705, and the December 2026 contract was 19 points firmer at 1,706.5.

Turnover increased to 11,352 lots from 8,070 on Monday, while open interest climbed to 46,613 contracts from 43,262 previously.

At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) surged 21.50 points, or 1.26 per cent, to close at its intraday high of 1,719.94 from Monday’s close of 1,698.44.
