Advancecon Unit Secures RM121.66 Mln Data Centre ORS Project In Port Dickson
KUALA LUMPUR, July 10 (Bernama) -- Advancecon Holding Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary, Advancecon Infra Sdn Bhd (AISB), has secured a sub-contract for an off-river storage (ORS) facility for a data centre in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, for RM121.66 million.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the construction company said AISB had accepted the letter of award from the project's main contractor, which subsequently appointed the subsidiary to undertake the construction and completion of earthworks and associated works for the ORS.
The ORS forms part of the proposed water supply scheme development with a production capacity of 65 million litres per day for the data centre.
AISB is principally involved in the business of providing earthworks and civil engineering services and the sale of construction materials.
"The sub-contract will be completed within 30 months from the date of the written instruction to commence physical works and mobilisation," it said.
Advancecon said that, barring any unforeseen circumstances, the sub-contract is expected to contribute positively to the group's future earnings throughout the contract period.
It added that the project would not have any effect on the group's share capital or substantial shareholders' shareholdings and would be funded through internally generated funds and/or external borrowings.
