Boomi Enables Australasian Firm Modernise Vendor Management

KUALA LUMPUR, July 1 (Bernama) -- Boomi, the data activation company for artificial intelligence (AI), announced that Programmed has transformed its vendor data management using the Boomi Enterprise Platform, establishing a single source of truth for vendor information, improving compliance and reducing manual processes across its operations.

The deployment enables the Australasian operations, staffing and maintenance services provider to manage more than 18,000 active vendors, addressing fragmented data across business units and applications while providing near real-time visibility throughout the vendor lifecycle.

Boomi Chief Technology Officer, APJ, David Irecki said the Boomi Enterprise Platform enables organisations to govern and connect vendor data, delivering benefits beyond a single business function.

He added in a statement that the solution provides organisations with greater visibility, improved compliance and a scalable foundation for digital transformation.

Meanwhile, Programmed Head of Procurement, Gary Gietzmann said: “We needed vendor data to be consistent across onboarding, compliance, finance and operational systems while giving every team a near real-time view of vendor status.”

Working with Boomi partner Adaptiv, Programmed deployed the Boomi Enterprise Platform alongside Rapid Global's vendor onboarding and compliance platform to centralise vendor data across its core business systems.

Boomi said its Data Hub now serves as the master data management platform for vendor records, governing critical information such as compliance status, certifications and insurance through a centralised record while automatically detecting and isolating inconsistent data before it affects operations.

The integration connects Rapid Global's vendor onboarding and compliance platform with Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations and downstream work order management platforms, enabling vendor information to move across systems with significantly less manual intervention and improving visibility for procurement and operational teams.

According to Gietzmann, the new platform has improved visibility and control over vendor information, allowing procurement, compliance and operational teams to make decisions with greater confidence while enhancing efficiency across the organisation.
