KLCI Futures End Higher, Tracking Stronger Spot Market

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 30 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher on Wednesday, tracking gains in the underlying spot market.

The September 2026 contract surged 19.5 points to 1,656.5, October 2026 added 9.5 points to 1,641.5, December 2026 gained 9.0 points to 1,650.5, and the March 2027 contract rose 8.0 points to 1,634.5.

Turnover declined to 10,947 lots from 31,168 lots on Tuesday, while open interest contracted to 51,407 contracts from 72,700 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI rose 7.21 points, or 0.43 per cent, to 1,651.17 from Tuesday’s close of 1,643.96.
