KLCI Futures Close Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, June 29 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher despite a weaker performance in the cash market. 

The June 2026 contract gained 3.5 points to 1,671.5, July 2026 and December 2026 were 6.5 points higher at 1,676.0 and 1,659.5, respectively, while the September 2026 contract rose 8.5 points to 1,658.5.

Turnover slid to 30,793 lots from 60,218 lots last Friday, while open interest fell to 62,025 contracts from 93,884 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI eased 1.83 points to 1,665.91 from Friday's close of 1,667.74.
