Arla Foods, DMK Group Ingredient Arms To Exhibit Together After Merger

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 3 (Bernama) -- Arla Foods Ingredients and wheyco, DMK Group’s whey business, will exhibit together at the Fi Europe trade event in Frankfurt from Nov 17 to 19, their first joint appearance since their parent companies merged.

Arla Foods and DMK Group combined on June 1 to form what they describe as Europe’s largest dairy cooperative. The two companies’ stands will face each other under the message “Growing Stronger Together”, with wheyco represented on the Arla Foods Ingredients stand.

“One of the many benefits of the merger has been the creation of an ingredients powerhouse,” said Arla Foods Ingredients Vice President of Commercial, Anne Widart, adding that the merger had unlocked new synergies and opportunities.

Arla Foods Ingredients will showcase new applications of its Targeted GLP-1 Companion Nutrition concept, launched earlier this year to meet the nutritional needs of people using GLP-1 medications. The products include a spoonable yoghurt, a drinking yoghurt, a fermented high-protein shot and a high-protein water-based shot.

The company will also present Variolac, a whey permeate ingredient produced through nanofiltration, which it said can improve cost-effectiveness and taste in dairy, bakery and confectionery products.

Visitors can sample new active nutrition products, including protein shakes, protein waters and the AirBar, an aerated milk protein bar, Arla Foods Ingredients said in a statement.

DMK Industry will showcase its fat-filled ingredients and sweetened condensed milk portfolios through four concepts: cupcakes with an aerated topping, chocolate caramel cookies, chocolate espresso fudge and a Café Bombón.
