Four Malaysian Firms Partner With WPS To Expand AI Adoption Among Businesses
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 3 (Bernama) -- Four Malaysian companies have partnered with global office software provider, WPS, to expand the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in business operations, particularly among small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
The companies, Systech Digital Solutions, Protonsonic, Global Digital and Advisirs Plus, team up with WPS to develop AI-powered office solutions tailored to the needs of Malaysian businesses.
The partnerships were formalised during the WPS Malaysia AI Office Salon held on Oct 30 at the Huawei AI Lab & Innovation Centre, The Exchange 106, Tun Razak Exchange (TRX), here.
WPS, a global office software brand under Kingsoft Office, is also strengthening its presence in Malaysia through local customer support, technical services and AI-related training.
Kingsoft Office senior vice-president Jiang Zhiqiang said Malaysia plays an important role in the company’s global expansion strategy, particularly in promoting AI-powered collaboration and digital transformation.
“This is also an important way for WPS to put its vision of AI, collaboration and globalisation into practice,” he said at the event.
Kingsoft Office vice-president and general manager of global commercial business Xu Liu said Malaysia's multilingual business environment presents opportunities for AI solutions that support cross-border collaboration.
She said businesses frequently use English, Malay and Chinese within the same document, while information is often shared across different digital platforms, including messaging applications and email.
“Our strategy is to build on one global product foundation and then localise deeply, so that companies can connect their teams and collaborate smoothly, and work across regions gets simpler and more efficient,” she said.
Meanwhile, Kingsoft Office deputy general manager of global commercial business and Southeast Asia B2B Business head Biwei Qi said the company is committed to providing direct support to Malaysian businesses and its local partners.
“Our local service and training teams will be there in person, supporting partners from pre-sales through delivery,” he said.
WPS 365, the company’s integrated office productivity platform, combines document management with AI-assisted collaboration built on four core collaboration modules: integrated messaging (IM), email, meeting, and calendar. Its local service model provides both online and face-to-face support.
The platform enables users to manage documents, generate meeting summaries, track tasks and access business information more efficiently.
Malaysia has nearly 1.3 million SMEs, accounting for about 96 per cent of all businesses, according to official statistics the company cited.
WPS partners said Malaysian SMEs are increasingly interested in adopting AI solutions but remain mindful of costs, data security and the practical benefits of digital technology.
One of its partners, Advisirs Plus, an AI-driven digital accounting firm operating in Malaysia and Singapore, has already integrated WPS 365 into its operations.
Nearly 250 members of the firm’s accounting team are using the platform, while both companies plan to extend their services to approximately 5,000 SMEs.
Advisirs Plus chief executive officer Hong Lim said WPS 365 has helped the company reduce the time spent on internal and external communication by at least 30 per cent.
“Our clients and partners are spread across several countries and regions in Asia-Pacific, and WPS 365 lets us work together across regions at any time,” he said.
He said the platform’s AI capabilities also enable employees to automatically generate meeting minutes, identify follow-up tasks and retrieve relevant information without manually searching through multiple applications.
The system also allows the company to centralise documents, internal policies, standard operating procedures and training materials, making information more accessible to employees.
