KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 30 (Bernama) -- Crude palm oil (CPO) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed mostly higher on Friday, supported by stronger crude oil prices.
Iceberg X Sdn Bhd proprietary trader David Ng said the stronger crude oil prices had improved the outlook for biodiesel demand, although concerns over elevated Malaysian inventories continued to limit gains, he told Bernama.
At the close, the November 2026 and December 2026 contracts added RM58 to RM4,449 and RM4,588 per tonne respectively, while January 2027 edged up RM65 to RM4,681 per tonne.
The February 2027 contract was RM61 higher to RM4,761 per tonne, March 2027 increased RM53 to RM4,826 and April 2027 picked up RM42 to RM4,863 per tonne.
Trading volume decreased to 97,010 lots from 110,477 on Thursday, while open interest fell to 337,166 contracts from 339,545 contracts previously.
The physical CPO price for November South gained RM60 to RM4,460 per tonne.
