Meanwhile, Northern Trust head of Asia Pacific, Angelo Calvitto said Singapore remains one of the most important investment centres in the region, with opportunities to support clients as their operating models, distribution plans and regulatory requirements change.

Northern Trust’s asset servicing business provides services including custody, fund administration and securities lending, while its asset management arm offers institutional investors equity, fixed income, sustainable investing and liquidity solutions.

Its Global Family Office business, which set up its Asia Pacific base in Singapore in 2022, serves single family offices and private investment companies.
