Nestle Malaysia Emerges As Top Gainer In Early Trade On Stronger 3Q Performance

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 28 (Bernama) -- Nestle (Malaysia) Bhd shares emerged as top gainer in early trade today following a stronger performance in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2026 (3Q 2026) .

Its net profit rose to RM197.51 million in 3Q 2026, compared with RM114.04 million in the same quarter a year ago, supported by higher sales.

Revenue also advanced 5.3 per cent to RM1.86 billion during the quarter from RM1.76 billion previously, driven by stronger domestic demand across key product categories, supported by continued innovation and effective commercial execution, the company said in a Bursa Malaysia filing yesterday.

Meanwhile, RHB Investment Bank Bhd said Nestle Malaysia was well on track for another year of sustained resurgence, supported by accommodative government fiscal policies, improved consumer sentiment towards its brands, and disciplined cost controls to protect profit margins.

“We maintain our positive stance on Nestle Malaysia, premised on the appeal of its defensive earnings profile. The company is well positioned to benefit from the government’s fiscal support approach whilst gross profit margin tailwinds could sustain at least in the immediate term.

“Therefore, we maintained a ‘buy’ call on Nestle Malaysia with a new target price of RM130 per share,” it said in a note today.
