Epic Named Finalist For Best Port Operator At TXA Awards 2026

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 23 (Bernama) -- Terengganu state government-linked company, EPIC Bhd, has been named a finalist at the Transport Expo Asia (TXA) Awards 2026 in the Best Port Operator category.

The company was listed alongside Westports Holdings Bhd and Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd, which took home the title.

EPIC chief executive officer Dr Muhtar Suhaili said the recognition represented a notable achievement for the group and its subsidiary, Konsortium Pelabuhan Kemaman Sdn Bhd (KPKSB). He said it also recognised Kemaman Port’s management in enhancing operational productivity, strengthening cargo-handling efficiency and supporting the growth of Malaysia’s East Coast industrial and maritime sectors.

“It shows that strengthening operational efficiency and ensuring safety and reliability remain key priorities in Kemaman Port’s management. We view this recognition as further motivation to enhance the port’s capabilities in supporting industrial growth and economic development in Terengganu and Malaysia’s East Coast,” he said in a statement today.

He added that the achievement would further drive EPIC’S ongoing efforts to enhance operational performance, strengthen infrastructure and expand port capacity to meet growing industrial demand.
