AM Best To Present Insurance, Reinsurance Outlooks In Shanghai Conference

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 23 (Bernama) -- Global credit rating agency, AM Best announced its analytic team members will present their outlooks on China’s non-life insurance segment and the global and Asian reinsurance markets at the 2026 Shanghai International Reinsurance Conference, to be held from Oct 27 to 30.

On Oct 28, market development analyst Judy Li will discuss the reasons behind AM Best’s stable outlook on China’s non-life insurance segment and the challenges insurers in the segment face, according to the credit rating agency in a statement.

Li’s presentation will be followed by Christie Lee, senior director and head of analytics at AM Best’s Hong Kong office, who will examine trends in the global reinsurance segment, on which AM Best also has a stable outlook, and compare them with trends in Asia’s reinsurance markets.

In addition, AM Best said its Singapore operations managing director and chief executive officer, Rob Curtis, will be in attendance and available for meetings. He is also head of market development for the Asia-Pacific region.

The conference, which AM Best describes as one of the largest annual meetings for reinsurers worldwide, is being held at the Lingang Xinchen International Conference Center in Shanghai’s Lingang Special Area and draws participants from about two dozen countries and regions.
