Chery’s AiMOGA Plans 300 Robot Experience Centres Worldwide

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 22 (Bernama) -- Chery’s robotics brand AiMOGA Robotics plans to open an initial network of 300 experience centres worldwide after launching its first home companion robot, Mobo, which has drawn interest from more than 10,000 prospective users.

Global pre-orders for Mobo opened at its launch in Wuhu, marking AiMOGA’s move from commercial services into the consumer home market.

Mobo is designed for elderly care and companionship, children’s companionship and whole-family care, and can break down long tasks on its own and adapt to complex home environments.

At the launch, 35 early adopters were named Mobo’s first Global Angel User Experience Ambassadors, the company said in a statement.

AiMOGA also plans a global robot rental brand serving the healthcare, transport, education, security, culture and tourism sectors and will support partners in areas including digital marketing, financial and insurance services, and after-sales support.

Chery said its robots reuse 100 per cent of its automotive supply chain and 70 per cent of its research and development technologies, lowering trial-and-error and mass-production costs compared with start-ups building from scratch.
