Chery’s LEPAS To Enter Middle East Market In November

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 22 (Bernama) -- Chery Auto’s premium new energy vehicle (NEV) brand LEPAS will enter the Middle East market in November, with its full NEV line-up appearing together in the Gulf for the first time.

The LEPAS L8 PHEV will be launched in stages in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar and other markets, Chery Auto said in a statement.

The move follows the brand’s European debut at Milan Design Week in April. Pre-orders for the L8 have opened in several European countries, while deliveries of the L6 and L4 continue in Southeast Asia and other regions.

LEPAS will draw on Chery Group’s experience and partner network in the Middle East, where several other Chery Auto brands are launching new models this year.

The company said NEV demand in the Gulf is growing steadily, with younger customers increasingly valuing design, individuality and quality.

LEPAS also plans to work with emerging local designers and lifestyle brands in design, sports and music to adapt its offering to Gulf tastes.
