Budget 2027: Sarawak PVTLDM Appreciates Govt's Continued Concern For Veterans

SIBU, Oct 10 (Bernama) -- The Sarawak branch of the Royal Malaysian Navy Veterans Association (PVTLDM) has welcomed the special financial assistance for Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) veterans announced in the 2027 Budget tabled yesterday.

Its president, Warrant Officer 1 (Rtd) Unyok Dasi, said the assistance reflected the government's appreciation of veterans' service and sacrifices while helping to ease their financial burden amid the rising cost of living.

He said veterans, particularly former Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM) personnel in Sarawak, greatly appreciated the government's continued commitment to their welfare through the four MADANI Budgets tabled since Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim became Prime Minister.

“We are deeply touched and grateful to the Prime Minister for never forgetting the service and sacrifices of military veterans.

“From the first to the fourth MADANI Budget, ATM veterans, including former TLDM personnel in Sarawak, have continued to benefit from special financial assistance,” he told Bernama today.

Unyok said the assistance would provide additional financial support to recipients, particularly in meeting their daily needs and expenses.
