Medisca, EUROAPI Partner To Expand API Access In North America
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 8 (Bernama) -- Medisca and EUROAPI have formed a strategic partnership to expand access to active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for pharmaceutical compounding in North America and explore opportunities in additional markets and peptide development.
Under the partnership, Medisca became EUROAPI’s first strategic distribution partner focused on bringing its European-manufactured APIs to the North American compounding market.
The collaboration includes exclusive supply arrangements for selected APIs and provides a framework for expanding the product offering, entering additional markets and advancing pharmaceutical innovation, the company said in a statement.
“This partnership marks an important milestone in the growth of Medisca,” said Medisca Chief Business Officer, Peng Li.
“EUROAPI brings deep manufacturing and technical expertise, with a strong focus on quality, green chemistry and sustainability. These strengths align with the evolving needs of the compounding market as personalised medicine continues to grow across telehealth, wellness and new areas of patient care,” said Li.
Through the partnership, EUROAPI will provide available technical and regulatory information relating to the APIs, while Medisca will contribute its market expertise and customer insight.
Medisca and EUROAPI also intend to collaborate on customer initiatives, training and commercial activities, while adding new APIs over time and evaluating opportunities in additional markets.
Meanwhile, EUROAPI Chief Commercial Officer, Frederic Robert said the partnership would broaden access to its APIs, expand its reach in the compounding market and create opportunities for collaboration in areas such as peptides.
Peptides are another area of strategic collaboration, with the companies planning to explore opportunities that combine Medisca’s pharmaceutical compounding expertise with EUROAPI’s capabilities in complex API development and manufacturing.
