PJBumi Gets Bursa Malaysia Nod For Proposed Share Split

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7 (Bernama) -- Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd has approved PJBumi Bhd’s proposed share split, expected to boost trading liquidity and attract a broader investor base by lowering trading prices.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing today, PJBumi said Bursa Securities’ approval for the proposed share split is subject to several conditions, including full compliance with the relevant provisions of the Main Market Listing Requirements (Main LR) governing the exercise.

The group said it is also required to notify Bursa Securities upon completion of the proposed share split and submit a certified true copy of the shareholders' resolution approving the exercise before the listing and quotation of the subdivided shares.

“PJBumi is also required to furnish Bursa Securities with written confirmation of its compliance with the terms and conditions of the approval upon completion of the proposed share split and make the relevant announcements in accordance with Paragraphs 6.35(2)(a) and (b) and 6.35(4) of the Main LR,” it said.

On June 26, 2026, PJBumi has proposed a one-for-five share split to improve trading liquidity and broaden its investor base by lowering the trading price of its shares.

Under the proposal, each existing ordinary share will be subdivided into five shares, increasing the engineering firm’s issued share capital to 410 million shares from 82 million.
