KLCI Futures End Higher Tracking Underlying Cash Market

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 5 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher on Monday, tracking the underlying cash market.

The October 2026 contract inched up 0.5 point to 1,623, the November 2026 contract gained 1.5 points to 1,624.5, the December 2026 contract added one point to 1,630.0 and the March 2027 contract increased 2.5 points to 1,616.

Turnover declined to 5,722 lots from 7,770 lots last Friday, while open interest slipped to 46,393 contracts from 47,940 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI edged up 0.88 point to 1,631.75 from last Friday’s close of 1,630.87.
