Sunsuria Unit To Sell Dengkil Land for RM316.84 Mln

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 28 (Bernama) -- Sunsuria Bhd’s 99.99 per cent-owned subsidiary, Sunsuria City Sdn Bhd, has entered into a sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with Amazon Data Services Malaysia Sdn Bhd to dispose of a parcel of land in Dengkil, Selangor, for approximately RM316.84 million in cash.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing today, the property developer said the freehold land spans approximately 18.39 hectares.

“The registered owner is Sunsuria City, and the land is free of encumbrances and currently vacant.

“The property’s proposed use is to host data processing services and infrastructure,” it said.

Sunsuria said the proposed disposal provides an opportunity for the group to unlock and realise the value of its investment in the property.

“The group is expected to record an estimated one-off pro forma gain on disposal of approximately RM50.34 million,” it said.

It said the proposed disposal is subject to, among others, approval from Sunsuria’s shareholders at an extraordinary general meeting to be convened.

“Barring any unforeseen circumstances and subject to all approvals and consents being obtained, the proposed disposal is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2027,” it said.

Hong Leong Investment Bank Bhd has been appointed as the principal adviser for the proposed disposal.
