Rimbunan Sawit Estimates Ulu Teru Estate Disruption Reduced Revenue By About RM10 Mln

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 23 (Bernama) -- Rimbunan Sawit Bhd estimates that a disruption to operations at its Ulu Teru Estate has reduced revenue by approximately RM10 million.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the company said it had completed its assessment of the operational and financial impact of a blockade of the estate’s main access route.

It said the blockade was lifted on Sept 15, 2026, and operations at the estate, operated by its subsidiary PJP Pelita Ulu Teru Plantation Sdn Bhd, fully resumed on Sept 21, 2026.

Rimbunan Sawit said its board would continue to monitor the situation, and management would take the necessary measures to safeguard the company’s operations and interests.

On July 6, 2026, the company announced that its operations at Ulu Teru Estate in Sarawak had been disrupted due to a blockage of the main access route since June 18, 2026.

It said the disruption had affected the harvesting and transportation of fresh fruit bunches, as well as certain other estate operations.
