AirAsia Malaysia Renews Air Operator Certificate, Valid Until Sept 2029
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 21 (Bernama) -- AirAsia Malaysia has successfully renewed its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) with the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM), which is valid until Sept 30, 2029.
The renewal follows CAAM’s stringent regulatory assessment of AirAsia Malaysia’s continued compliance with the requirements governing commercial air transport operations, reinforcing the airline’s standing within Malaysia’s established aviation regulatory framework.
AirAsia Malaysia general manager Datuk Captain Fareh Mazputra said the renewal of the AOC reflects the airline’s continued commitment to not only meeting, but exceeding the regulatory, operational and safety standards required as an airline operating in Malaysia.
“As we move forward, we remain focused on operating safely and efficiently, optimising our fleet and network whilst continuing to provide affordable connectivity for millions of travellers across Malaysia and the region,” he said in a statement today.
Currently, AirAsia Malaysia operates 1,620 flights a week to 15 domestic destinations and 73 international destinations across 22 countries, connecting travellers from Malaysia to key markets across ASEAN, Asia, Australia and beyond.
With its renewed AOC, extensive domestic and international network, and continued recognition by travellers globally, AirAsia Malaysia remains focused on strengthening connectivity, supporting Malaysia’s aviation and tourism ecosystem and making air travel more accessible to millions of travellers.
