EcoWorld Wins Singapore Land Tender With RM667.6 Mln Bid
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 18 (Bernama) -- Eco World Development Group Bhd’s (EcoWorld) wholly owned subsidiary, Eco World Development (S) Pte Ltd, has secured a parcel of land at Lorong Puntong/Sin Ming Avenue, Singapore, for S$208.09 million (RM667.6 million).
The property developer said its unit was confirmed as the successful bidder for the 4,283.5-square metre land with a 99-year lease following a tender conducted by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) Singapore.
“It is to be developed into residential condominiums or flats with a maximum permissible gross floor area of 11,994 square metres,” EcoWorld said in a filing with the stock exchange today.
It said the tender presents a good opportunity for the group to venture into private residential development in Singapore, and the land, which will be home to Eco World’s first development project in Singapore, sits within the established Thomson enclave of predominantly private residential developments.
EcoWorld president and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Chang Khim Wah said the group plans to launch the project in 2028 under its new Versione series.
“This latest development concept by EcoWorld offers highly curated lifestyle apartments and experiences designed to meet the needs and aspirations of each specific customer group,” he said.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the tender is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026.
