SINGAPORE, Sept 14 (Bernama) -- Mercedes-Benz Malaysia on Monday unveiled the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 AMG Line for the Malaysian market, which will be locally assembled in Pekan, Pahang.
The company also introduced the all-new electric Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC to the Malaysian market, reimagining its globally best-selling model on a purpose-developed electric vehicle (EV) architecture.
The CLA 200 AMG Line featured an internal combustion engine (ICE) powertrain as a complement to the recently launched all-new electric CLA, offering greater drivetrain flexibility to cater to diverse customer needs.
Mercedes-Benz Cars Malaysia president and chief executive officer Martin Schulz said the CLA 200 AMG Line reflects the company's commitment to offering customers in Malaysia the freedom to choose the powertrain that best suits their needs.
"As a locally assembled model, it combines the unmistakable character of the CLA with outstanding efficiency, intelligent technology, and elevated comfort, complementing the all-new electric CLA,” he said during the media preview event held at Mercedes Benz Centre Singapore on Monday.
Meanwhile, the GLC 300 4MATIC delivers 310 kilowatts (kW) of E-Drive power and a range of up to 616 kilometres according to the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP), with the 800-volt technology enabling up to 255 km of range to be added in 10 minutes.
"The GLC has long held a special place among our customers, and the all-new electric GLC marks an exciting new chapter for this much-loved model.
"With its reimagined design, cutting-edge technology, and powerful driving dynamics, it creates an experience that feels both progressive and reassuringly familiar," said Martin.
