KLCI Futures Close Lower, Tracking Cash Market

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 11 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on Friday, tracking the underlying cash market performance.

The September 2026 contract fell 19.5 points to 1,666.5, October 2026 eased 18.5 points to 1,666.5, while the December 2026 and March 2027 contracts reduced 17.5 points to 1,673.0 and 1,657.0, respectively.

Turnover rose to 7,461 lots from 6,818 on Thursday, while open interest was 46,188 contracts, up from 44,404 previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI fell 18.78 points, or 1.10 per cent, to 1,686.74 from Thursday’s close of 1,705.52.
