Gold Futures Close Lower Tracking US COMEX
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 8 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today, tracking the weaker performance of gold futures on the US Commodity Exchange (COMEX).
At the close, the spot-month September 2026 contract fell to US$4,404.70 per troy ounce from US$4,419.40 per troy ounce on Monday, while the October 2026 contract decreased to US$4,420.10 per troy ounce from US$4,435.60 per troy ounce yesterday.
The November 2026 contract declined to US$4,434.70 per troy ounce from US$4,452.50 per troy ounce, while the December 2026, February 2027 and April 2027 contracts slipped to US$4,442.50 per troy ounce from US$4,460.30 per troy ounce previously.
Trading volume decreased to 296 lots from 320 lots yesterday, while open interest trimmed to 346 contracts from 378 contracts previously.
Physical gold was fixed at US$4,404.15 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on Sept 7, 2026.
