JETRO, Japan Embassy To Promote Halal Food Products At MIHAS 2026

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 8 (Bernama) -- The Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) Kuala Lumpur and the Embassy of Japan in Malaysia will be exhibiting at the 22nd Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) 2026 from Sept 23-26.

JETRO Kuala Lumpur said in a statement yesterday that its participation will enhance awareness and promotion of Japanese halal food exports.

JETRO Kuala Lumpur is a government-related organisation that promotes mutual trade and investment between Japan and Malaysia.

“As the organiser of the Japan Pavilion, JETRO KL will showcase products (and services) with seven Japanese companies seeking to expand their business opportunities in the Muslim market here,” it said.

The Japan Pavilion will feature halal-certified food products and a digital catalogue introducing halal-certified products from 21 companies.

It will also conduct a visitor survey on purchasing factors influencing consumer interest in Japanese halal-certified food products, and related topics during the exhibition.

“We warmly invite members of the media and industry stakeholders to visit the Japan Pavilion and learn more about Japanese companies’ efforts to expand their presence in the growing Muslim market in Malaysia,” it added.
