Orion Hindawi Returns As Tanium CEO, Dan Streetman Steps Down

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 21 (Bernama) -- Tanium, a leader in autonomous information technology (IT), announced that its Co-Founder and Executive Chairman, Orion Hindawi has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately, replacing Dan Streetman, who is stepping down as CEO and a member of the Board.

In a statement, Tanium said Streetman will continue to advise the company during the transition, while co-founder David Hindawi will return as Chairman of the Board.

The leadership change is aimed at strengthening Tanium's autonomous IT capabilities, expanding its artificial intelligence (AI) offerings and deepening engagement with customers and partners.

Orion said Tanium's platform is trusted by demanding organisations worldwide and that AI has made its capabilities increasingly important as cyber threats become more sophisticated and the pace of technological change accelerates.

He said Tanium has already embedded AI across its operations, including through Atlas, its autonomous operating system, and he looks forward to working with the management team to pursue new opportunities and deliver greater value to customers and partners.

The CEO thanked Streetman for his leadership and contributions, saying he had strengthened the company and helped position it for its next phase of growth.

Meanwhile, Streetman, who led Tanium for three years, said he was proud of the company's achievements during his tenure, including improving operational discipline and supporting customers.

The Hindawis co-founded Tanium in 2007 to provide organisations with unified visibility and control over enterprise endpoints. Orion previously served as CEO from 2016 to 2023, overseeing significant growth and the development of the company's technical architecture.
