KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 15 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures are expected to trade with an upward bias next week, within a relatively narrow range, in line with the cash market, an analyst said.

IPPFA Sdn Bhd director of investment strategy and country economist Mohd Sedek Jantan said resilient domestic fundamentals would continue to support the local market.

He said softer-than-expected US inflation had eased concerns over further monetary policy tightening by the US Federal Reserve.

“Key catalysts to watch include oil prices, developments in the US-Iran conflict and China’s July activity data,” he said.

For the week just ended, the FBM KLCI futures ended mostly lower.
