KLCI Futures End Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 6 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on Thursday.

The August 2026 and September 2026 contracts dropped 21 points each to 1,734.0 and 1,711.5, respectively, while the December 2026 and March 2027 contracts both slipped 19.5 points to 1,713.5 and 1,698.5, respectively. 

Turnover decreased to 8,228 lots from 11,060 on Wednesday, while open interest slid to 49,428 contracts from 51,278 contracts previously. 

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI fell 11.02 points to 1,737.15, compared with Wednesday's close of 1,748.17.
